On Sunday April 10, 2011, The Thornwood Fire District Held an "Installation of Officers" for the incoming Chief officers and Company Officers. Each Officer is sworn into office in front of family and friends. They also take office as well. Chief Dave Dwyer, Now Ex- Chief, Swore in the company officers as well as Incoming Chief Rich Benkwitt. Chief Benkwitt then welcomes each line officer into office by swearing them in by oath.
